We are not their mothers

As some people know, I work ( when they need me ) as a substitute at a childcare for a couple of years now and I see the relationship between educators and parents. I see that they are not working as a team, as a parent you should raise your children, and educators, are there to teach your children. Teach and raise is different, and some parents sometimes seem to forget that. I saw children screaming at their parents without consequences, so when it was our turn to deal with them, we had all the problems with us because they didn’t get to know that act has consequences. So, we have to teach them this, and we talk about it with parents, but when they go back home, parents don’t retain our advice and tomorrow morning we have to restart again… Educators should not deal with that alone,  so why not work together?
